Aggie (BWG Aggie): 3/4 - Taking it easy!

Hi everyone!  I’m Aggie!  I just retired from my previous position as a racing phenom!  I came home with my foster parents a couple days ago and, boy-howdy, let me tell you it is a whole new experience!  I kind of like this new lifestyle!  I get to relax and play with my 4 foster sibs...they are retired racers too but they are...shall we say much more experienced with the lifestyle!

I am a very happy and curious pup and I love giving attention...AND receiving attention!  My fo-folks say I’m just the sweetest thing!  I’m not going to argue, LOL!  I’m getting pretty good and answering to my name and coming when called - I guess that’s a pretty big deal.  I want to learn so many more things, and I love to please!  I’ll be keeping you all posted on my progress as the days go by.  I hope to crush this retirement thing with my forever family soon!  Maybe it’s you!

Kup (Atascocita Kup): 3/3 - At my new digs!

Not every dog gets to sample different life styles but I guess I am lucky that way!!!  And I have mastered them all!!

Yup...got the snoozing in the sunshine down!

Collecting toys so I can figure out which one is best...check!
Figuring out which toys are chewy...check!

And which ones are good snuggies....check!

There are many things I love to do like going for walks!  We go for a walk nearly every day!  It's colder here than it was in Florida so foster mom lets me wear my foster sisters jacket!  I think it looks so much better on me than it does on her! What do you think?!

I have three foster sisters that are just like me and sometimes I like to play with them outside!  I also have two little sisters who don't like to play very much so I just leave them alone.   But I always love coming over to my human who never seems to run out of scritches!  I love scritches anywhere, any time!!  And I'm good with hugs too!!

Foster mom calls me Mr Kuppers  because I am such a stately boy!  But I like to be silly sometimes too!!!  Like giving foster mom big kisses when it's time to wake up for breakfast or when she says "smile for the camera"!!!

I have had some GI issues since I have been here but we found some great food and I'm feeling soo much better!  I like to chew on the toys periodically but will have to wait a little longer until I can have some better stuff to sink my teeth into.  I'm sooo ready!!!

In the mean time, I'm a happy guy and love hanging out with the hoomans!!!  Or just snoozin!!!

Like everyone else in my group, I'm anxious to find that one special home that will be complete when when I am there!  Could it be yours?!!!

Jaelyn (PJ Stickysticker): 3/3 - Retirement life

Hi Folks,

Foster Mom (FM) loves my race name PJ Stickysticker but says its a mouthful so she calls me my kennel name Jaylyn.  I started my retirement on Saturday with a car ride from West Va. with 5 other greyhound buddies. We arrived at Greyhound Central where we all had a photoshoot and received SPA treatments that included baths and pedicures with many hugs and kisses from the volunteers helping out.  It was a long day but exciting.

In my new foster home I have two greyhound brothers who are brown and white just like me.  It seems FM has a thing for brown and white hounds, but she swears it just worked out that way.  My foster brothers are super cool and I follow them around to see how things work around this place. In addition to my foster brothers and FM, there is a daddy, a tall boy teenager, and another guy coming this weekend for something called spring break.  FM tells me this is the family but I think she is missing someone.  There is another mysterious dog I keep seeing and it is not one of my foster brothers.  I think it is a magic dog as it comes and goes randomly.  This magic dog appears at night and I see it in the TV and in the glass door and in the mirror and in the windows. The weird thing is it looks just like me!  When I am not trying to find this fourth magic dog I enjoy the good meals, treats, soft beds, and hugs and kisses from the family.  Foster mom says I am a sweet good girl and that I am going to find a greyt furever home soon. In the meantime I have more things to learn and practice but I will keep searching for that magic dog.  #retiredlife #whereisthemagicdog #adoptdontshop

Lisa (PJ Pinkies Up): 2/17 - Weekend fun!

Hi There! I just thought
I'd pop in with a little pupdate!

I've been doing really well at my foster home, but it was kind of a crummy week because of all the rain we were getting. Sitting inside may be no fun, but walking in the rain is definitely no fun. I toughed it out, but in case you were considering a walk in the rain, I do not recommend it.

All in all, the weekend has been much better. My foster family took me on a little drive to Colonial Williamsburg. We went for a nice, long walk. There was even this street called Duke of Gloucester (DOG) Street!  Speaking of dogs, there were a lot around. And people, too. They even had horses! There was lots to see and, of course, smell! Lots of old buildings and history. Who knew walks could be so educational!?

Once we got home, I was so exhausted I had what the humans call a "bed fail".
What can I say, it's hard being a tired pup.

After dinner, I got it all figured out:
Bed ✅
Blankie ✅
Stuffie ✅
Sleepy Time 😴

Until next time,
-Lisa 🐾

Rant (Atascocita Rant): 2/14 - Will you be my Valentine?

Hi there! It's me, Rant! I'm here to ask you a very important question: will you please be my valentine?? I just love to snuggle. I can't get enough. And I am so excited to cuddle with my forever home! 💓

Rant (Atascocita Rant): 2/10 - Treats please!

Hi there! Rant here!

I am so lucky to get to cuddle with foster mom and foster sister, Selene, all the time! I cannot wait to cuddle with my forever family!!! (My tail is wagging just thinking about it.)

Can I have a cuddle, please??
Foster sister, Selene, taught me that if we go to the pet store and look really cute, we get free treats!!!! We tried to go first thing Sunday morning, but foster mom wouldn't let us in!! She said something about the store being "closed."Am I not cute enough or something?

Do you know which one I am??
Luckily, she took us back later and we got our fix! I guess I am cute enough after all!

I can't wait to receive treats and cuddles from my forever family!!! 😄

Charley (Charley Cheswick): 2/7 - Snoot

Hey everyone, I just wanted to stop by and say how EXCITED I am about my trip to Lusby tomorrow.  I got my nails done and everything.  I was a good boy and got kisses on my snoot and some treats.  Treats are the best!
My fur is getting shinier and foster mom says I’m filling out and getting more handsome every day but I told her I’m already pretty good looking.
I really hope someone picks me tomorrow!
