Victoria: 6/20 - I love the rain

Hi everyone,
Remember that horrendous thunderstorm yesterday?  Well, when everyone else was scared and hiding, i was looking out the sliding glass doors begging to go outside.  That's right, I love the rain.  Foster mom finally conceeded and let me go out when it was only sprinkling.  I stayed out for a while, then she couldn't take seeing me out there getting so wet so she called me inside to dry me off.
Yes, I know it seems strange, but I am just so fascinated by the rain.   Foster mom says it's a lovable part of my curious nature.
I cant wait to see what new surprises retirement has in store for me next.

Victoria: 6/16 - I'm still here

Hi it's Victoria,
I wanted to let you know that I'm still here and waiting for my forever family. In the meantime I've been learning more about retired life.  My foster parents I have gone on a couple weekend trips and I've had to spend more time away from them.  They have a friend come over to let me out and then they return later that evening.  They give me this thing called at Kong filled with peanut butter to keep me busy. I really like it and helps me while they're gone.
I'm also learning to be more patient in the morning waiting for my foster parents to get up on the weekends.  You see I like to eat at 6 o'clock in the morning and they like to sleep in until 7:30.
I'm having lots of fun learning all these new things.  I hope you're having fun reading my blogs and learning about me.
Love,  Victoria

Victoria: 6/7 - Getting excited

Hi it's Victoria,
I'm getting really excited about this weekend.  My Foster mom says I am going to meet some really nice people and someone could take me home.
I've been doing really well at this retirement thing.  Some things you may want to know about me:
I know my name (this may not sound like a big deal, but my Foster mom says it is)
I am great around all size dogs
I like children- all ages
I love to get snuggles, rubs and kisses
I am very food motivated (I take medicine very well)
I crate well (I am crated during the day when my foster family is at work and school and sometimes at night)
I am a counter surfer and equal opportunity kitchen table snatcher (I am a little naughty about taking food when you aren't looking  but Mr. SQUIRTY or a firm no sets me straight)
Once you meet me, you will see how my bubbly personality shines through.

Victoria: 5/30/17 - My sweet face

Hi there it's Victoria,
I wanted to send you some pictures of myself and what my foster mom and dad call my sweet face.  They tell me I'm super loving and sweet because I love to cuddle and get ear rubs.  I even give kisses that they think are super sweet.
I also love the outside just laying in the grass enjoying the sunshine.  Life has been so great since retirement. I also want to tell you that I'm sharing a house with it small human who's 8 years old.  Get along great with him and the small white dog they called Ernie.
I hope to see you on adoption day to show you just how much personality I have.

Victoria: 5/27 - Relaxing

Hi everyone,
It's been a week since my last post.  I have been learning what retired life is really all about which is napping most of the day.  As you can see I'm really good at it, says my foster mom.
I'm a very curious, smart and loving girl and I respond well when you tell me that isn't okay to do.  I really love my rubs and I love to give kisses.  I'm really early riser but my foster parents are working with me on that one.
I heard there was an adoption event next month and I really hope I get to meet my forever family.

Victoria - Picnic day! - 5/20/17

Today was a great day because it was the Greyhound picnic.  I met lots of friendly people who wanted to pet me and know all about me.  They even let me run around for a while and I loved it.

Everyone said how loving and friendly I am.  I even tried to escape the foster pen a few times, but I was corrected by Mr. Squirty and told no. I am still learning about my boubdaries, but Foster mom and dad say I will soon get the hang of it.

I am a pretty fast learner and I have only been off the track a week.   I know to eat breakfast and dinner in my crate and I go inside with no problem. I know my name and respond when being called.

It's time for bed.  I am ready after such an exciting day.

Love, Victoria

Victoria: 5/16 - Welcome to retirement

Hi,  I'm Victoria and I just retired from racing last weekend.  Things are new for me and I am very curious to find out what everything is about.  Let me tell you a little about myself. I am nearly 4 years old.  In fact, I have a birthday next month.  I am an outgoing and friendly girl.  The word shy isn't in my vocabulary.  I have been told I am smart and I know my name.
I am already an expert stair climber, day 1!  I am sharing my foster home with 3 other greyhounds and a little white dog right now.  And I like the company to be honest.   I go on my crate no problem I even sleep there sometimes.  I'm just still discovering my world and I love it.
Here's the picture of me discovering a bed.  Foster mom says I'm a little camera shy but she's doing her best to get some really good pictures of me to show off how beautiful I am.
That's all for now.  Love,  Victoria
