Flash (CBJ Hot Flash): 5/23 - Happy Guy!

Hi! Flash here. I just wanted to let everybody know that I am a laid back, go-with-the-flow guy.

I also love pettins, scratches on the neck, and to be talked to. I show my happiness by looking lovingly at you with my big amber eyes, a smile, and my tail spins in a big spiral.

Being boastful isn’t in my nature but who wouldn’t want to live the Flash Life with me?

Flash (CBJ Hot Flash): 5/14 - Flash Explores

FoMa took me (green collar) and FoBro for a stroll around the neighborhood since it’s nice and sunny today.

It was SO COOL because lots of green grass and even some shady trees. Lots to sniff and see!

We walked for nearly one-and-a-half miles. GUYZ! That’s a lot for me considering what I did in my working life.

We then walked next to the big building called a SCHOOL and there were some doors. We waited and waited but they never opened. There’s something weird going on where we can’t get too close to people. I don’t understand it but it’s OK. I stay close to FoMa and FoBro.

Then we walk back to the house, drink a lot of water, and lay down to relax.

And that’s living the Flash Life today! Check back again soon!

Flash (CBJ Hot Flash): 5/2 - Sun's out, Flash's out!

Foster Mom was working all morning and talking to a computer but I lay next to her the whole time getting my sleeps.

Then we all went outside - FoMa and foster brother and sister Oberon and Slainte, too.

We mostly meandered around the yard but we laid around in the warm sunshine, too.

I loves it, SEE?!

Happy Saturday, everybody! I’ll be right here enjoying the Flash Life!

Flash (CBJ Hot Flash): 4/29 - I'm walkin' and lovin' it!

Hi everyone!

I’m walkin’, yes, indeed! HEEYYY, everybody!!! I went for a walk today! It was so nice outside!!

This one photo is kind of embarrassing though. Foster Mom got me doing my business but it’s cool because that’s what I’m supposed to do, right?! Anyways, she was happy about it. I don’t get it but it’s cool.

I like to walk right next to Foster Mom and take in the sights and sounds. Anyways, everybody enjoy their day!

As always, stay tuned for more Flash Life!

Flash (CBJ Hot Flash): 4/26 - Settling in nicely to retired life

GUYZ! Flash here. Foster Mom lets me go without my muzzle in the house when she is in it with us! I mostly lounge and chew on my duck. :)

When she leaves the house for a little bit foster brother and sister remain out (I can stay out of my crate!) so long as we are muzzled (foster brother and I).We just relax in our dog beds until she comes back home.

And at bedtime she sets up ALL the dog beds in her room and closes the door and I settle down in the bed just for me and we all sleeps nice and cozy through the nighttime.

But as soon as Foster Mom rises from bed I notice and I get so excited to see she is awakened that I bolt upright, stretch and wag my tail to show her I am ready for the day!!!

Anyways, thanx for catching up with me! Stay tuned for more Flash Life this week!

Flash (Hot Flash): 4/20 - First full week of retired life!

Hi, everybody! Flash here!

When foster mom puts the stick in my mouth with bristles not only do I just want to lick the paste on it because it tastes like chicken (!!!) I want to nibble on it. I’m told I’m a good boy though because I let her brush my toofers.

Whenever foster mom eats her meals I get excited and want to try some, too. It all smells SO good. I listen well and retreat when told to.

GUYZ! I am a really good listener. Isn’t that what everyone wants in a man?! :) :) :)

Also, I go potty outside. Never inside. AND! I’ve earned going without my muzzle inside the house as long as foster mom is inside with me. Which is most of the day (awesome!) since she does works in the house.

I like the squeaky fury things to play with but my FAVORITE remains the duck! Foster mom plays tug of war with me and sometimes I let her win. ;) I love the duck SO much that when I am provided a treat, I sometimes don’t want to let the duck go!

Stay tuned for more Flash Life when we go out for a walk on the leash! For now, I help mom works by laying right next to her.

Flash (CBJ Hot Flash): 4/16 - I’m handsome and I know it!

I discovered my reflection, everybody! And can you blame me for not stopping to stare?

Both of my ears fold over like an envelope! Foster mom was trying to capture them but I didn’t really know what she was trying to do so I just kept gazing upon her with my soulful amber eyes...

My coat is starting to take on a nice shine and I am continuing to settle in to retired life.

That’s it! I’m just being Flash. I know. You can’t even take your eyes off me, can you?

Yep. Livin’ the Flash Life! ;)

Flash (CMJ Hot Flash): 4/14 - Flash gets the zoomies!

My foster mom waited until it wasn’t raining too hard and after we did our business, she toweled me off and brushed me. Boy did that feel SO GOOD!

Another thing foster mom does for me is scratch behind my ears and my neck. Sometimes this causes me to play air guitar with my hind leg. Yeah, it feels that good!

Everything in the house is just so interesting to look at. So far the only thing I’m interested in is the smell goods on the kitchen counter tops but when foster mom gives me a little firm correction, I listen. I must be a really good boy because she tells me so.

Sometimes I get to play with foster brother Oberon’s fuzzy animal things. I especially like the duck. When I chew it it even squeaks!

When the water stopped falling from the sky foster mom let Oberon and I out and it just felt so good to be outside that I just...ran, and ran around some more! We got to go outside a lot yesterday. I just love laying in the grass. Or sitting. With my hip shifted to the side. Not bad for a tall boy, ay? And when foster mom is ready for us to go to bed? I settle into my cozy crate, lay down and sleeps.

This pack is getting me all family ready! Who wants to include the Flash Life into theirs?!

Flash (CBJ Hot Flash): 4/13 - His first couple of days have gone GREYT!

I love my foster brother (Oberon) who is the SAME age as me and looks like my twin (!) and my older foster sister, Slainte who at 15 is very curious of me and I her (she is also black!). I am very respectful of my elders.

I am settling in to living in a house in a quiet neighborhood with a fenced in backyard very well. I enjoy taking in all of the green, green grass and the freedom to roam about the yard!

Yesterday was GREYT because we all just took the day to decompress. I love being talked to and wag my tail and brighten my eyes! My foster mom tells me when my ears stand up one folds over like an envelope. I’m not sure what that means but she thinks it’s cool.
I can’t decide which I like best: being spread out on the floor or curling up on the cushy (dog)bed that seems to be made especially for GREYHOUNDS! I could get REAL used to this!

Currently, my foster Mom is doing some work at her desk while I lay on the floor right next to her. I hope she doesn’t need any help with anything because I’m testing my bright amber-y eyes  at the moment.

Stay tuned for more Flash Life!
