Secret: 3/30 - visiting

Know what I like doing?  Visiting!  I was able to visit with Charger and Princess a couple of days ago.  They've become my BFF's since I came to Momma P's house.

Princess let me chew on her bone, and shared her dog bed with me.

Charger even let me lay with him more than once.  

I hope I can meet more 4-legged friends when I find my furever family!

Secret: 3/29 - spoiled

Let's talk beds.  Momma P has two beds for us 4-leggers downstairs and three for us upstairs.

This is Zoey's bed.  I lay in it every morning while Momma P gets ready for work.

This is my bed.  After I arrived here, Momma P realized that I would settle faster if she put a bed for me beside her own.  Now I sleep beside her every night.  

This is Olive's bed and there was this one time that she shared it with me.

Then the other night, a greyhound named Marty spent the night so she brought in another bed for him to use when it was time for bed.

After he left, I claimed it.  See now I have two upstairs that are mine.  One to sleep in at night, and one to hang out in and watch what's going on while we're upstairs.

Some people may say I'm spoiled.  I think they're mistaken. #PrincessInTraining

Secret: 3/28 - walks and training

Hey everyone! With the nice weather outside today, Momma P took us for a walk this afternoon. I walked really well with Olive and Zoey. There weren't many kids out or squirrels, but I was on the lookout.

After we finished our walk, Momma P worked on my training. See whenever she takes me somewhere, I make her lift me into the car. Today she took out some treats with her and we worked on me jumping into the car by myself.

And guess what she found out?

I can do it all.by.myself.

I don't need her...I just like the free lift into the car.

See she had this treat in her hand and I wanted it. I totally forgot that I was supposed to be working her and went in after the treat. Guess I'm on my own from now on.

Oh well. It was good while it lasted.

Secret: 3/24 - trying to roach

Hey everyone!  Secret here checking in to show off a few pictures of me.  Momma P giggled at me and said I looked silly.  She was hoping I'd stop and roach, but I was all wiggly.  I had an itch on my back, and her giggling didn't help make it go away.

I'm hoping my furever family doesn't laugh at me like Momma P did. You gotta do what you gotta do when you have an itch!  #MaybeOneDayIllRoachForHer

Secret: 3/22 - toys or rawhides

Since I have a tendency to be a busy body, Momma P decided it was a good idea to break out a rawhide for me to keep me busy awhile ago.  Since then, it's the one thing that I always go back to when Momma P puts it down for me.  I'm not really interested in the toys that are here except when Momma P plays with Olive.  Then I have to be all up in it, and she plays tug with both of us...at the same time.  #HowDoesSheNotLoseAnArm

So note to my future furever family, can we get some rawhides, please?  #PleasePleasePlease

Secret: 3/20 - bedtime

Every night Momma P sends us 4-leggers upstairs for bed then she comes up behind us.  And every night Zoey and I wait for her to come up and join us.  Sometimes it takes her a minute and sometimes she's right behind us.   

"Whatcha doin' Momma P?"

  

"Why are you taking my picture?  It's bed time."

"Are you done yet?  Maybe I should go lay down."

"You're still standing there?"

"Seriously Momma P!  I've got a bed waiting for me, and you're keeping me from it."

I like my Momma P, but doesn't she know you're not supposed to keep a greyhound from their beauty sleep?

Secret: 3/19 - Sunday snuggles part 2

Sunday snuggles continued today while Momma P was working.  

Olive taught me how to use the pillows.

Olive makes a good pillow too.

I hope my furever family has pillows for me to use.  I'm not picky either...actual pillows, humans, or other 4-leggers will work.

Secret: 3/19 - Sunday snuggles

Good morning faithful followers!  Momma P made me go outside this morning in the rain...with some snowflakes mixed in...so I told Zoey we were going to snuggle to get warmed up.  I don't think she was sure about it at first.  I told her that she could use me as a pillow, but she decided to lay down beside me.

Secret: 3/18 - BarkBox arrival

Hey, everyone!  Have you ever heard of a box that shows up at your house every now and then that's full of treats and toys?  Well Momma P gets them for her girls, and I was able to help open it up this time when it showed up.  We all sniffed and sniffed, but then I realized there were toys inside and I quickly ran off with one of them.  Afterward, we all got to have a couple of treats that were inside.  I've learned "down" so Momma P made me do that before I got mine.  Olive has to sit for her treats.  Momma P said we're going to learn that before I go to my furever home.  I don't care what she teaches me as long as I get to have more treats.

Sure hope my furever family likes to surprise me with treats and toys every now and then.

Secret: 3/17 - #FlashbackFriday

I love it when we have visitors.  That means there's another person to introduce us retired racing greyhounds too.  It doesn't hurt that they always give me lots of attention too.  Check out the squishy nose that happened when Miss E came to visit last Friday.  She loved and loved on me soooo much that I just wanted to get as close to her as I could.  I didn't care about my nose as I took a quick nap beside her.

I also can't wait to show my furver family my squishy nose!  I know it's not ladylike, but that's okay.  I think that they'll forgive me when they see all the love I have to give.

Secret: 3/13 - helping out

Momma P was busy yesterday, and I don't think she spent enough time with me.  I took every opportunity to let her know I wasn't pleased with this turn of events.

She redeemed herself at the end of the day and gave me an extra big rawhide to chew on.  

The extra snuggles she gave me before bed helped too.

We had company for a couple of days and all of us tried to help Momma P in the kitchen.

A. I would love to have someone or some people to love me, spoil me, play with me, feed me, walk me, and did I mention love me? I'm all about kisses, hugs, and if you don't mind, snuggling with you on the couch, in your bed, and most importantly in your lap!

A. Sleeping, bouncing through the house, and helping Momma P wherever she goes.

Secret: 3/9 - lap snuggles

In case you missed it in my last post, I love me some laps.  Momma P's lap is the bestest for snuggling.  She told me that I have to wait patiently, and I'll find my furever home soon.  Then I'll have my own family to snuggle with all the time.  I can't wait!

Secret: 3/7 - it's been awhile

Hey there!  Sorry I seem to have gone into hiding!  I haven't...just been hanging out with Momma P and her fur-kids.  She's always doing something so I make it my mission to follow her around everywhere to see if she needs help.  When she's not moving, I love snuggling with her.  I have to share her lap with Olive and Zoey so she makes us all take turns.  I've given her my cutest sad face and it still doesn't sway her to give me all the lovin'.

Momma P's oldest niece came over last week, and I showed her my best snuggle skills.

Secret: 2/10 - tomorrow may be my day

Hello friends!  So tomorrow is the next GEGR adoptathon. Momma P tells me that she's going to take me to see if maybe I'll get to meet my furever family. I'm hoping I do. I really want to lay on the couch like Olive does. Maybe they'll even let me sleep on their bed after we're all used to each other. It looks glorious up there! #OliveGetsToDoAllTheFunThings 

In the meantime, I'm going to lay here with Momma P and let her snuggle me.

Secret: 2/9 - visitors

We had company the other day, and I was able to meet another greyhound, Charger, and his little sister, Princess.

I was all about trying to crawl up into his lap.  Have you heard that I'm all about being a snuggle bug?

I got a little too excited playing with Princess so Momma P had me hang out in the crate for a few minutes.

I love making new friends.  I hope my furever family has some to introduce me too!
