Kindle (Hilco Kindle): 5/29 - Sweet, Happy Girl

Kindle here again. I wanted to tell you a little more about me. I smile while I'm sleeping, and sometimes my eyes are open. I tried to climb in bed with my foster sister because she was scared. We had a loud storm, and she didn't like it. I stayed with her because I am alright with loud noises. I love to lay in the grass outside while you are busy working out there. I love oatmeal pies and marshmallows. Just remember they are great if you want to hide meds from me.

Kindle (Hilco Kindle): 5/28 - About Me

Kindle here.  I wanted to tell you a little more about me. Did I tell you that I love, love toys? I like to carry them around the house and into bed with me. I travel well in the van with my foster sister and brother. I go to the door or wake you up if I need to potty. My foster Mom tells me that I'm very smart that I'm a very girl because I listen to her. You will never be lonely if you pick me. I will make you laugh every day because I'm so cute. There is one thing I'm still working on. I haven't quite master eating my cookies neatly. But don't worry, I'll get it soon.

Kindle (Hilco Kindle): 5/27 - Hello!

Hi, my name is Kindle. My foster Mom told me I have settled into retirement very well. She tells me that I'm a very good girl. As a matter of fact, she has told me that I'm just perfect. I love to cuddle. I would love to sleep with you, sit on the couch, or even sit in your lap. I love hugs and kisses and would be your closest companion. I have started chattering when foster Mom gives me hugs and kisses. I smile when I sleep and love being rubbed.

Rusty (RS Rusty Nail): 5/26 - Hello

Hi. Hello. Welcome.

Just wanted you to appreciate how handsome I am.

Girl (Run Girl Run): 5/26 - Not into Running

Since I joined my FoMa, two FoBros, and FoSis I care less about running and I’m more into the two ‘Ls’:

Loving and Laying!

FoMa says I am very loving and soft! I lean on her for pets and I pal around with my FoSis, Rya Peanut. Everyone is very nice showing me the ropes of retired life. I’m a fast learner!

- Girl

First Bed Fail!

Is this good for Tongue Out Tuesday? (Laying with my FoSis, Rya Peanut).

I make FoMa’s rug look GOOD, right?
Me with my FoSis and FoBros!

Delilah (Bad Decisions): 6/4/21 ready for tomorrow

Delilah says she’s ready for adoption day!  She’s hoping for a family that will love her shy yet curious personality and her precious quirky ears.
M
After days and days I finally decided to try out a dog bed and I must say I really like them. I should have done this along time ago.
Foster mom thinks my ears are the cutest thing ever. Do you agree?  ❤️❤️❤️

Hello, out there. My name’s Delilah. Despite my track name of Bad Decisions, adopting me would be the best decision you ever made. I’m super sweet but a little shy. It takes me a while to feel comfortable in many situations. I have discovered toys and enjoy taking them all out of the toy basket and spreading them around the room.  I’m getting along great with my foster siblings and the family cat. I enjoy staring at her, and she just sits there and stares back.  I’m enjoying this new staring game!

Turbo (RF Turam): 5/22 - Let's Go for a Ride

I've got an idea - oh, it's me, Turbo again - my idea? Let's go for a ride in the car!!

I'm all ready to go!

I'm really good at riding in the car, and I absolutely love it. Every time I go into the garage at Uncle Chris's house, I run to the back of his car and ask to get in. Would you like to go for a car ride with me?

In other Turbo news - yes, I'm still stubborn, but I'm working on it. At some point, a lightbulb is going to go on in my little brain.  I'm going to figure out that it's not in my best interest to be this way. Just you wait. Let's see... Oh, I got to go to the ducky park! It's a park in Annapolis with statues of duckies. It's fun. Check it out - they're huge!

Hiya Ducky!

I think I made a new friend...

And I still love Cinco the Dragon. He's a fantastic friend to have. Last night I went and "stole" him off the cupboard where UC put him while vacuuming earlier in the day. Auntie Kate was just about to scold me for stealing stuff when she saw it was just my dragon that I wanted. It was pretty cute.

We is pals.

Okay, that's it for today - as noted above, I'm not quite ready for adoption yet, but I will be soon.

Love and Nose Bumps,
Turbo

Rusty (Rusty Nail): 5/21 - Settling In

Hi there! Rusty Nail here! Happy Fri-yay!

We went on an excursion to our favorite coffee shop today and I got to take a nap in the shade with my foster siblings and drink coffee shop water. It was the best. I love spending quality time with my people.

Then we walked through the beautiful park near our house and I met people and other non-greyhound doggos. I was a little bit frightened at first but I’m such a brave boy and worked through my worries.

I took another nap and celebrated my bravery with a delicious bone. It’s been a great day!

Dresser (Flashey Dresser): 5/21 - Say Cheese!

Trying to get a picture with Dresser!

Dresser- say “Cheese”

My Foster Mom says what a sweet boy I am!

Clay (L Clay): 5/19 - Pet Me!

Hi! It's Clay!  MAAAHHHHHMMMMM, pet me!!!

You can pet me outside, too...
You know you wanna pet me all day!

Rusty (RS Rusty Nail): 5/18 - Welcome to Retirement!

Hi there! 👋🏼 Rusty Nail here! 🔨

I have been adjusting to my new life as a house dog. Houses have so many strange things: throw pillows (that you don’t throw), plants (that you can’t pee on), slippery stairs, things that spin on the ceiling, boxes that make noise… I have been exhausted by all of the new things I’m learning and experiencing, so I have been taking a lot of naps.

I like to go for long walks with my foster siblings (I’m the handsome boy on the far right), and I absolute love food and treats and toys that I can chew. Sometimes, I get a bit overwhelmed by new things that I don’t understand, but eventually my curiosity takes over and I have to check the new things out!

It takes me a little while to come out of my shell and feel comfortable, but when I do, I like to sing and play and explore!

Turbo (RF Turam): 5/6 - My Birthday!!

(*NOTE* Turbo is not yet available for adoption pending some testing)

Hi everyone! It's me, Turbo! Guess what yesterday was? Can you guess it?? Yep - it was Cinco de Mayo. Which means?? IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY!!!

I guess the title of this post kinda gave that away, huh? Oh, well - is what it is. But it's pretty exciting turning four years old. I think it's going to be an awesome year.

Wait - you don't even know what I look like yet! We have to fix that...

Wait, that's not very flattering!

Hey, what's the deal here?

As you can see, my foster dad - Uncle Chris (UC for short) - has evidently gotten into the tequila early today. Sheesh. Hey UC, can we get a decent picture of this sweet puppy, please?!?

That's me and my pal, Dino the Dinosaur!

Dino skeeks, which is super fun.

Okay, that's better! Let's learn a little about me, is that okay?
  • I'm rather cute, as you can see.
  • I'm a typical greyhound for my age.
    • I like to nap
    • I do good with either yard play or daily walks
    • I love food and treats
  • I'm a complete lovebug. I love getting petted and ear scratches and stuff.
  • I have no interest in getting on the furniture.
    • I do like blankies and soft doggie beds, though.
  • I'm average size for a male greyhound.
There are some things I'm still working on...
  • I'm stubborn.
    • I'll admit it. If I don't want to do something, it's going to be tough to convince me.
  • Sometimes I'm a little particular about things like Dino or special chew bones or stuff.
    • But I'm learning to be a good boy about it.
    • I'll trade you - If you have a small piece of cheese? You can have my chewy or toy.
  • I'm just starting to learn all my obedience commands.
    • Sit, Stay, and Down are essential - so I've got a little work to do!
So, some good and some things I'm getting better at! Just like all of us.

This isn't staged - I just love Dino!! Am I cute or what??

So that's a little about me - thanks in advance for all the birthday wishes 😀

I'll keep you updated as to my progress, okay?

And don't forget that while I'm not available yet, as noted on top, I will be pretty soon - so don't forget about Turbo!

Love and Nose Bumps,
Turbo

Endo (Lee Endo): 5/4 - Happily Healing

So a few weeks have passed since my last update so I thought I would jump on here while my foster mom is busy.

I am continuing to heal and all reports say everything is healing super well. I am out of the hard cast and into a softer splint.  I like it much better than the cast. It's lighter and I can move more freely.  My foster mom is not too happy that I am trying to get a little bouncy and she keeps saying I need to keep "four on the floor."  I'm not sure what that means I just know that I'm super happy and like to show everyone that happiness.  Keeping me occupied has been a bit of a challenge because I am feeling really good and want to move around more than my foster family would like.  So to keep my activity satisfied they take me outside onto the patio with them when the neighbors come over to visit.  I like this A LOT because everyone I meet is a friend.  I like to give them some good tail wags and a smile before I plant a soft kiss on them.  (Hehehe, it's my little covert plan just to smooch on people).  I like making them smile when I lean into them for more petting, everyone seems to like that and I've heard a few folks tell my foster mom they are going to sneak me home with them.  Foster mom is very protective of me though and would never let that happen.

I am enjoying my meal times and always clean my bowl.  I lost a bit of weight during my surgery and hospital stay so FoMom has been putting in some delightful additions to my food.  Last weigh in was 69lbs.

The hospital where I get my cast and bandage changes have taken great care of me. I love them and I love going to see them.  They always make sure my bandages are very dapper-looking when they get changed.  I am having another bandage change this week and I can't wait to see what new designs they come up with.  Here is a photo of my admirers...err... I mean the vet techs.

I'm looking forward to finding my forever home when all this is over.  I would probably do best in a home with a 6' fence or a home that exclusively leash walks.  I may have to be on some restricted activity for a while once adopted which means no heavy running in the yard or super long walks but as my endurance and muscles build up I will be able to do more regular activity.  I do have a few special requests for forever home candidates though...I like some super soft beds, I like to sleep on one right next to you on the floor at night, also I really like treats and have learned to take them very gently.

If you like kisses and snuggles, I'm your guy.  I'm tall, tan, and handsome too, so if that is a prerequisite then I'm a solid candidate.  Stay tuned for another update once Fomom is distracted. XOXOX Love, Endo
