Coastal: “I’m finally home!”
Hey everyone! It’s Coastal here. I’ve got some fantastic news! My fo-fam took me to what they call “ Greyhound Spring Break” which is this mega awesome picnic with so many greyhounds running around...a real free for all! I was chilling in a place called “the foster pen” and guess what? I met my new REAL mom and dad! They came just to check me out and take me to my furever home! Mama Pam and Papa Ray have welcomed me into their family and I’m so excited to be their Coastie with he mostie! I’m so blessed to have new parents to love and be loved by! Thank you to all the greyt folks at GEGR that rescued me, took care of me, and found me furever family!
Coastal sends Mother’s Day wishes
Hello to all you beautiful mothers out there! It’s me...Costal! I got all dressed up today in honor of you fantastic ladies that care for two legged AND four legged pups! I truly hope you all have a very special day! Maybe one of you had a need to take on another bundle of joy. If so, I’m your pup! Although my fo-mom is awesome, I really want a furever mom to snuggle up with! I’ll be here waiting for you! Until then, I hope your day is wonderful!
Coastal out and about
Hey everyone! It’s me, Coastal (or as my foster family calls me - “the Coastie with the mostie”. It’s been a crazy week here at my new foster home. First, I went to the vet so everyone could look at how awesome I am...and the Dr. said I’m in greyt shape. I already knew that but it’s still nice to get validation! Fo-pops took me for a walk by the lake. I showed him just what a fantastic leash walker I am. Let’s just say he was impressed. We saw all kinds of birds including ducks. They are pretty cool, but not my thing. I pretty much just ignored them. I’m still getting to know my fo-bro sisters. We like to run around the yard and chase off the squirrels! What a blast! Fo-pops is also teaching me to wait my turn at meal time and when handing out treats and I’m getting the hag of that too. See? Lots going on but what I really want to know is where my furever family is. I’m such a happy and laid back kind of guy and want to share my life with someone really special! Until next time...Peace out!
Coastal - telling it like it is!
Hey everyone! I’m Coastal (the artist formerly known as WW’s Coastal). First, let me just say that a lot of nice things have been said about me and...well...I AM a pretty big deal! I’m really getting the hang of this retirement thing and am super stoked to make my furever family happy and proud! Until then, I get the chance to brighten the lives of my foster family! What a lucky hound I am! By the way, the dude in the white fur is my new “fo-bro” Dizzy. He has been a big brother to me showing me the ropes. We run and have lots of fun and he even lets me play with his toys! I’ve got two foster sisters that are pretty chill too. I get along with everyone in this cat free home. I might be a bit shy at first in a new crib, but I’ll be kickn’ it before you know it. I know when to ask to go outside, I don’t mess with other people’s food, and I sleep through the night. By the way, there has been some really stormy weather lately, but it’s no big deal...I’m a brave boy and can handle it no problem! I hope to keep you all updated on my adventures! Until next time!
Coastal 3/30/19 - Renovations, what renovations?
Major construction with banging and drilling going on at our house and foster Coastal is solid as a rock! I love this dog!!!!
So many folks overlook the black dogs but let me tell you, if you pass by this boy you are really missing out on a very special dog. Coastal is the whole package. Great in the crate, good on leash, and gets along with everyone (except cats). He sleeps thru the night and does all his business outside. He's on the smaller side for a boy but what he lacks in size he makes up for in gentle disposition. Coastal would do best with a family who has another dog (doesn't have to be a greyhound but he enjoys a canine buddy) and a family with no cats. He loves his toys and is totally self entertaining but also loves when I toss the fluffies for him to run after. All that in one handsome package!!!

Coastal: 2/11
Took Coastal for a stroll to Petsmat today. I wanted to see how he did on the tile floors. He did great. He was a bit tentative at first because he'd never been inside a pet store before, let alone a Petsmart. We used some high value treats to reward him for his courage and he did really really well. He was interested in the cats and small critters. He was most interested whenever someone squeaked a toy and we found one to bring home with him. He took treats from strangers and was really well mannered during the entire trip.
Coastal: 2/5 - I have arrived
Coastal has docked in the house!! What a sweet boy he is and on the smaller side for a boy. He's a bit reserved at first and likes to check things out before he cuts loose. He's fit right into our pack seamlessly. He's learning to go to the back door when it's potty time and he crates nicely. We're working on putting a bit of retirement weight on him and teaching him all the fun stuff that comes with retirement.
"Is that dinner your making foster mom?"
Double Trouble! This is a good photo to show his size compared to our other male. Coastal on the right.
Fitting right into the pack, but still figuring out dog beds.
