Date: 9/29 - The bowl collector

Hi it's me - Date!
My foster mom had to post one last picture tonight. It's of me collecting bowls.  For some reason, I love to be surrounded by shiny metal bowls.  I pick them up one by one and bring them on my bed. I now have three bowls! See how silly I am?
See you tomorrow!

Date: 9/29 - Call Me Maybe

Happy Friday Ya'll!
I just had another check up at the vet to remove my stiches.  The vet says I healed well.  It took longer than expected because I kept fiddling with it.  My foster parents finally convinced me to leave it alone 珞.
I keep thinking about tomorrow and I can't wait to meet my future family!

Date : 9/26 - Attention

Hi it's Date,
I'm looking forward to meeting new families this weekend.  Here's a couple of pics of me this week.
I'm doing great getting used to the retired life.  I like to play with toys and take my food bowl to my foster brother's bed.  I'm still waiting on the food refill!
I hope to see you this weekend!
Miss Date

Date: 9/25 - Are you ready for it?

Hi, it's Date!  Here I am being cute again.  See that dog bowl next to my foster brother?  I brought that to him, hoping  that he could put food in it.  He's giving me a confused look.
If you are looking for someone to give you lots of kisses and be your sweet shadow, I'm your girl.  I love to watch my foster family eat dinner and sometimes they have to tell me to lay down.  I'm pretty persistent about it.  I do love food.  I'll have what you're having any day of the week.  Did I mention that I love eggs?? 
I hope I get to meet my family that will take me home for good.  I have lots of love to give!

Date - 9/23/17 - Look what you made me do

Hi, it's Date!  I am still in a T-shirt these days because of my mischevious ways.  In this picture, I am helping foster mom cook in the kitchen.  I'm still learning manners, but I am a lot better about leaving the dinner table.  I get along with my foster brother and sister. I'm playing with toys and loving chewies.
I'm enjoying retirement a lot.  I love the company and attention I am getting.  I'm such a lovable girl!  I hope to meet my forever family soon.

Date 9/15/17 My adventures

Hi everyone,

I've had a pretty busy week.  I let my  mischief get me into some trouble but I'm on the mend.  I was playing in the backyard and decided I'd be cool to cut myself on something.  Which turned out to a late night vet visit and some stitches.  But let me tell you I'm one tough cookie.

The vet says I'm healing wonderfully.  I'm already back to my sassy self.  My foster mom's going to try to post a video she took of me playing with the toy.  I'll have to skip this adoption event tomorrow but I want to meet you all real soon.

Date - 9/8/17 - I love to meet and greet

Today I attended my very first meet and greet at my Foster mom's work and it was awesome.  I loved coming up to all the people and getting some love.  Whenever a new person approached, I was the first dog in!  Foster mom says I'm outgoing- whatever that means.  In the picture, I am the cute one on the right.

This week I gave myself a voice.  I discovered that I like to bark a little.  I did it today when I heard a lawnmower turn on.  I kind of like the sound I make.  Foster mom thinks I am one of a kind.  Another funny thing she says about me is that I like to submerge my whole muzzle in my water bowl to drink.  Well, I never thought it was that strange.  🙃. My Foster mom laughs and calls me a duck.  I have no idea what or who that is.

One thing I am really enjoying is walks.  I love to check this new world out.  There are so many things to do and see!  It's very exciting!  I am hoping I'll meet my forver family soon and I can show them how loving I am.

Date - First week 😍- 9/2/17

Hi everyone,

I wanted to update you all on my first week into retirement.  My Foster family thinks I'm a pro already.  It took my a few days, but I am now excellent at stairs.  Mine are carpeted inside and wood outside.  I go up all by myself when it's bedtime.  I received lots of praise for that which I love.

Another accomplishment is following directions.  I understand "outside", "potty", "up", "no" and "treat".  We are working on "lay down".  My Foster mom thinks I'm super smart. 🤓

I love being around people and I really like the small humans.  His name is Alex and he likes to play the follow me game around the house and then I give him kisses, which makes him laugh.

When my Foster family leaves, I go in the crate.  Of course I would rather go along with them but they aren't gone for too long plus I get a treat before they leave.  I get really excited when I see them come back.  I know to go outside right away and head right for the backdoor.

I also have had several walks and I love it!  Foster mom says I am a good walker because I don't pull too much or weave around.

I'll post again after some more adventures!

Date 8/27/17 My first day

Hi I'm Date!

I know, what a name I was given.  It's an unusual name, but I like to think I'm a one of a kind girl.   You know, the kind that gives you hugs and kisses and we've only just met. 😍😘

My birthday is coming up next month and I will be five.  I'm getting used to retirement though. I spent a lot of time checking things out in my temporary home.  I'm staying with two other greyhounds and a little white dog.   I get along well with everybody.

The only thing really challenging is the stairs.  I am getting more confident in them I just need more practice.  I will be getting plenty of that in this house.  I am eating well and learning to relax.  Check out my relaxation technique here.

I'll check back soon!
