Kobe (Coach Kobe): 11/12 - All About Me

Guess what, friends?! I have been learning so much at my foster home, like how to go up and down stairs, walk on a leash, take treats from people’s hands, wait my turn (I’m still working on that one ๐Ÿ™„), and how to enjoy retirement. I have also become a professional relaxation specialist.

My foster parents say that I am the sweetest boy! I sleep through the night, do my business outside, and eat all of my food (and check my foster siblings’ bowls to make sure they ate all of their food too. See? I am so helpful!). I have never shown any aggression to my siblings or humans, even when we’re playing, eating, or getting treats.

Things I love:

- Being close to my people.
- Being a helpful assistant for all household tasks, even vacuuming (I am so brave).
- Meeting dogs, people, and children.
- Naps in the sunshine.
- Long walks where I can stand in tall bushes.
- Ear scratches.

Things I don’t like:

- Squirrels. They are the worst.
- Also baths.

I don’t know why my foster parents call me a “nosey parker.” ๐Ÿคท‍♂️  I am simply being helpful by using my long, curious snoot to check out every little thing. I especially love sticking my nose in my foster mom’s morning coffee. I am also exceptionally brave; I heard fireworks the other night, and I wasn’t phased at all. ๐Ÿ™Œ

So now you know! I am a sweet, curious, and helpful boy who loves companionship, a good scratch, and a day filled with naps and treats. ๐Ÿงก

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 10/31 - What a Week!

Happy Saturday, friends! I wanted to share a few of the highlights from my week!

I went on a field trip last week, and on the way, I got to stand (and pee) in this spiky bush.  It was very exciting.

I also went on fantastic walkies with my foster siblings. They’ve taught me how to walk nicely on a leash, that squirrels aren’t really the enemy, and how to politely sniff new doggo friends. I love meeting new people at the park.

I’m exhausted from all of that hard work this week, so I’m ready to relax all weekend long.

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 10/22 - Quality Time

My love language is Quality Time. I am happiest when I am close to my foster parents and siblings, even if it means having to share. ๐Ÿ™„
(I’m the most handsome boy wearing a collar.)

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 10/14 - Sunshine!

Guys! Fall weather is my favorite! I LOVE being outside in the sunshine, don’t you?

My foster siblings (Winston and Lily) like to spend time outside, too.

Napping in the sunshine, zero responsibilities, and pumpkin spice lattes might make me a basic long boi, but I really don’t mind!
Happy Fall, y’all!  - Kobe

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 10/10 - Good morning!

Kobe here! I make an excellent companion for daily activities. Every morning, while foster mom makes the bed, I like to help by supervising the stack of dog beds.
So many beds, so little time to sleep on all of them. ๐Ÿ’ค

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 10/2 - The BEST Helper

Kobe strives to earn his keep as a foster. From helping in the kitchen...

To overseeing yard work...

To being a friendly companion to his foster siblings... (Kobe is on the far left)

To politely requesting ear scritches and pats...

Kobe is the most helpful boy. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 9/22 - Waiting

Just waiting patiently for dinner. Kobe is always ready for treats, meals, and snacks!

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 9/15 - All the Naps

Kobe has been settling into retired life by napping, taking naps, and napping some more. He does not discriminate against comfy items (blankets, beds, pillows, toys, etc.) on which to lounge, and appreciates a good tummy rub while roaching. ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 9/10 - Sweet Kobe

Kobe is such a SWEET boy. He loves being close to his people, he appreciates companionship with his foster siblings, he is curious about everything, and he is fascinated by his reflection in the mirror. We often find him standing in front of our full-length mirror, ogling his handsome self. ๐Ÿ˜‚ He appreciates a quiet and relaxing afternoon of doing nothing and snuggling toys, but also loves a good zoom around the backyard. We are so happy to have him stay with us. ๐Ÿงก

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 9/9 - Stair Master

Kobe is a master of our hardwood stairs! ๐ŸŽ‰ Like a toddler, he is SO proud of his new skill that he practices over and over all day long. He is such a brave boy!

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 9/6 - Weekend Vibes

This weekend has consisted of lots of time relaxing in the yard and on the porch, walking to the farmers’ market with the foster siblings, and practicing going up and down stairs. Kobe is the SWEETEST boy. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 9/4 - Walkies!

“Walkies” is Kobe’s new favorite word! He loves to explore the park with his foster siblings, to smell all of the smells, and to meet new people who tell him how handsome he is. ๐Ÿงก

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 9/3 - Making Himself Comfortable

Lots of comfort experimentation happening in Kobe’s retirement! He is quite the acrobat and loves to hang off the side of the Kuranda bed. What a cutie! ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก

Kobe (Coach Kobe): 8/31 - Welcome to Foster Life!

Kobe had a big day this weekend! From bath time to a long car ride to meeting his foster siblings (two retired greys), he handled it all with gentleness and curiosity. He loves to look out the window, has successfully maneuvered the hard wood floors and the outside stairs, and is getting lessons from his siblings about how to enjoy the retired life. He is settling into his foster home and is a very sweet and friendly boy!
