There’s a big bean bag chair in our living room that my son loves to sit in. This chair is beloved by our resident dogs, and ALL of our fosters. Behold Wilbur enjoying The Chair…

Poe (Flashey Dresser): 10/29 - Tired after meeting a new friend.
Yawn! Gosh, am I ever tired. I went to meet a new doggie friend today! His name is Stormy, and he's a medium to large doggie (Uncle Chris says he's a wirehaired Griffon), and we sniffed each other, and then we ran around together (muzzled, of course), and then we had a couple of treats, and then it was time to go home.
Uncle Chris tried to get a good picture of us playing, but he's not very good with the camera - so you're stuck with what I'm doing now that I'm home:
Sleeping!!
I'm so sleepy, I need a nap!
That was such a fun and exciting adventure! Hopefully I get to see my new pal again soon.
I love being close to my Foster People!
The other night I wanted to be super close to Auntie Kate, who was on the couch. But gosh, I'm not allowed on the furniture as a foster dog, so I got as close as I could - as you can see above!
Goldi (CG's Goldiluck): 10/29 - Pets on pets on pets
Oh hai! Didn't see you there at first.

How's it going?
I will have you know that I ignored FoMo for three minutes yesterday after she defamed my character by insinuating that I was asleep on the job. The nerve. I only look like I'm sleeping, it's a disguise. I am always alert for the sound of snacks or the movement of FoMo getting up from her desk (in case she's going to get snacks). I am a big believer in one of the cardinal Greyhound rules: You never snack alone.
I've been exploring more to find new things to stash in the crate. FoMo says I remind her of "Ariel," whoever that is, gathering up whatzits and thingamabobs.

I guess she wanted to watch Animal Planet.
Aside from my burgeoning collection of trinkets, I've gotten good at collecting pets in the house! I don't really want to sit or sleep with you - I would really prefer to be left alone on my bed - but if it's been too long since you gave me scritches, I will be sure to let you know. A dog needs a certain amount every day, you know?

POV: You are relaxing on the couch when Goldi realizes it's pets o'clock and comes to collect her due.
I'll walk right up to you and gently nudge you to remind you to use your hands as they were intended: to rub my ears and scratch my back. I'll stay right there with you until alllllllll my itches are scratched and I've gotten your love, and then I'll head back to my bed to bask in that warmth and nap until pets o'clock comes around again.
In the neighborhood, I like to study people a little bit before I go up to them. I need to evaluate whether they look like a Good Dog Petter, and if so, what side to approach. Sometimes I'm not into it. It's nothing personal - they're certainly welcome to worship from afar!
A good development in the petting/worshipping department: FoMo has been doing stretches with my right leg and toes. It feels weird to me, but I'll allow it. It comes with lots of other pets and scratches, too! This was me last night after my evening massage. I gave it a good stretch and roach and then rolled over and drifted off.

I envy this degree of relaxation.
Goldi (CG's Goldiluck): 10/27 - Well Hello There!
Henlo frens!
My name is Goldiluck, but please, call me Goldi. I've been staying with FoMo for a week now, and I gotta say, humans continue to be GREAT. FoMo has been saying my name and then giving me food a lot, which is the best deal ever. All I have to do is look at her. (Don't tell her I think this game is easy!!) I've gotten to meet the mail man and a whole bunch of people on our walks and they give me all the scritches I could ever want. I visited FoMo's mom (lots of pets, again, of course) and then one of her neighbors came out to meet me because I just looked so cute! Seriously, no one can resist me. Getting pets is my super power!
In the house, when I get excited, I smile. If you haven't been blessed by a smiling greyhound yet, FoMo says this is a good example. Kestral the Smiling Greyhound I mean you no harm, it's just that I show my enthusiasm on a scale of 0 - Infinity Teefs. FoMo says I'm even cuter than Kestral - I scrunch my snoot up and then snort a bunch, and I try to get close to you so that you understand just how happy I am. Meanwhile, my back end is wagging and I'm trying to stare up into your face to will you into petting me forever. I'm a happy-go-lucky pup; I might smile at you when you bring my dinner, when you uncrate me for a walk, when you walk away from your desk and therefore have two hands that for some reason are not petting me, and even when you come back from the bathroom.
I like being around people, and I sometimes bark when I'm alone. I have also been known to bark if you're just not paying attention to me. Uh hello, this adorable pup can't ear scritch herself! FoMo assures me that I can learn to relax and enjoy the quiet. Speaking of quiet time, I love my crate! I get all my meals in there, and FoMo lets me rest in the crate after I try/experience something new. It's so nice to get to just lie down and think about it. Plus FoSis can't snoop on me! And of course, no dwelling is complete without décor! I've been picking up FoSis's stuffies and bringing them to whatever bed I'm in. I have a whole stash in the crate, and one or two more around each of the other beds I frequent. Here's me showing off the collection and welcoming you to my humble abode.
Wilbur (Keyboard Warrior): 10/26 - I Halp!
Hey, watcha doin’ Food Lady?
I’m doing dishes, Wilbur.
Ok, I halp!!
