Easi (Easi Juggerrout): 5/27 - The Life of a Retired Racer
Hey Everyone! I've had an exciting couple of days π It's been so nice out that I've taken up sunbathing on the back deck. I've decided that this is a must when it's sunny with a nice breeze. FoMom even gave me a nice towel to lay on.
When we aren't basking in the summer sun, the resident hound and I have formed a Neighborhood Watch. We watch from the window and sound our alarm to let FoMom know if a leaf falls, person moves a car, or a squirrel climbs the tree.
I also got to make some new friends. Monday was Frankie's (resident hound) birthday so we met some of her friends and her brother for a walk. It was fun to meet new friends and go to a new place to sniff all the things. I even got some birthday ice cream and had to wear a silly hat π

Starz (SJ's Starz Man): 5/27 - Loves Being Pet
Some of you may wonder what it's like to live in the same house as a Star? Well it's a lot like this.
If you have a free hand, Starz will find you and put his head in your hand. Starz love to be pet and will stand next to you forever if you just pet him.
Bree (K's Bree): 5/27 - Water Fun
Hi Everyone,
Me again, Bree!
I'm getting used to the routine here. I get to hang out in my crate most mornings while my foster parents go off to do something they call "work." This last weekend was different. They called it a holiday and boy was it fun!
We got to ride in the van -- Have I told you about the van? It takes us to all sorts of fun places. This time we went to a park with lots of water. I thought it was so pretty the way it moved and reflected the light.
But the best thing was how nice and cool it was. I just walked right in and got to splash and explore a bit. Maybe Foster Dad will let me go in deeper sometime!
My friend came over to play. His mom trimmed my nails that were getting a bit long. It's always sad when he leaves.
With all that excitement I was really tired and zonked right out. My foster parents think I'm funny when I sleep.
I think my foster sister is warming up to me. Sometimes she tells me to go away when I lay too close to her, but I don't think she means it. She even let me lay next to her for a little bit last night.
When I sleep I sometimes dream about my forever home. I wonder if it will be near a park with water to play in?

Philly (Philly Special): 5/26 - Stages of Napping
Philly here! Yesterday was Memorial Day and my fosters said it was a holiday, so I decided to take a morning nap. F-dad said I looked like I was trying to fight my nap like a human kid, but I just have a process. You can see here my three steps.
Aggie (BWG Aggie): 5/25 - Memorial Day
Aggie is enjoying her freedom on her first Memorial Day as a retired racer! Thank you to the fallen!
Easi (Easi Juggerrout): 5/23 - Walking, Playing and Toys!
I may collect ALL the toys, but only a few are special. This is my favorite. FoMom says that I'm adorable and have greyt ears. I have no idea what she's talking about. My ears just flop around up there.
Philly (Philly Special): 5/23 - Redecorating
Philly here! My foster dads said I should make myself comfortable, so I decided to redecorate the place. Shifting this pillow from the sofa really gives a nice punch of color to my bed and gives my head some extra lift, don’t you think?
Flash (CBJ Hot Flash): 5/23 - Happy Guy!
Hi! Flash here. I just wanted to let everybody know that I am a laid back, go-with-the-flow guy.
I also love pettins, scratches on the neck, and to be talked to. I show my happiness by looking lovingly at you with my big amber eyes, a smile, and my tail spins in a big spiral.
Being boastful isn’t in my nature but who wouldn’t want to live the Flash Life with me?

Kennedi (KS Kennedi): 5/22 - Sweet Face
Kennedi fell asleep on her favorite book, “Dogs and their People.” This sweet girl really loves her people!!
Misty (Mystery Street): 5/22 - A Day in the Life Photo Shoot
Hey y'all! Misty in the house!!! What doing? Me? I chill. Like dis. Hoping Foster Mom sticks a yummy treat on my tongue cus I'm sooooo cute!
Things are greyt in my foster home. FM is teaching me lots of nice manners, and I really want to make her happy. I mean, I LOVE playing with my furry foster sisters, but FM is my faves. She's working from home and always takes a break when I come in for snuggles. She just can't resist this face, and I know it.
Things are pretty fun around here. I have lots of fun doin the zoomies with mah girls outside, but inside it's all toys...all the time.
This is me with my beloved tennis ball. He didn't want to pose for this picture, but I told him that our forever family would want to know what he looked like too. He's frowning, but I promise, he's a good boy.
This is me trying to take a nap. FM says I will make myself comfortable anywhere...she's not wrong. I find that a roach next to my humans increases the likelihood for belly rubs like a gazillion percent. See, beauty AND brains.
Admittedly, I do have some interesting sleep poses. FM calls me a contortionist. I don't know what that is...I think it means I love peanut butter or smething...
I listen really good in the house. I like to check stuff out, of course, but I always do what FM tells me. She knows the rules, and I am learning so good stuff here. I like routines, especially because I always know when it's time for a cookie!
I know when it's close to bed time, and I like to snuggle with my toys one last time. I'll keep practicing my sweety eyes, and be thinking about my forever family.
Gosh, I hope they have tennis balls...
Kissesπ
❤ Misty
Woody (CBJ Woody): 5/21 - Hi and Hello
Hi, Hi, Hi it’s Woody here! I really haven’t been doing much since my last blog post, but I’m such an attention seeking hound I wanted to check in and send a quick hello!
The new thing for me this week is that I’ve been learning about toys. I have a squeaky one and a chewy one. I kinda like playing with them, but I usually stop after a couple of minutes and try to seek out some cuddles and scratches.
Some say sighthounds are tall so they can better see what they need to chase. Might be true, but for me, being a sighthound just lets me see where I can find some love and attention. HEY YOU...!
My other news is that I made a little improvement with the stairs. I managed to go down in to the basement, and gave my foster parents a fright in the process, but I did great/survived! Apparently I looked slightly “out of control” and like a “baby giraffe.” Well then, it’s time for a nap with my head under some furniture.

Sam (KC's Sam): 5/21 - Hello, Friends!
Hi Friends!
Foster Mom said it was time I introduced myself, so I’m going to give this blog a shot! I'm Sam. I’ve been with my Foster Mom (FM) for just over two weeks, and I've settled into the household routine very well. I really love the three resident dogs. They all love to snuggle with me, and we play outside in the yard very well!
During my first week here, I went to see the vet, and I had a dental cleaning. While I was there, I made sure I was gentle with everyone. When it was time to go home, FM asked how I did, and she gave me lots of kisses when she found out I was such a good boy.
It wasn’t long before I started going for walks with FM and my fellow Greyhound Tilly. I really like walking with Tilly, so I don’t stray too far from her and FM to explore. I guess that’s a really good thing because FM says I walk beautifully on lead.
Besides really liking the resident dogs, I really do love FM and her boyfriend. They are both so patient with me. I was a little shy when I first arrived, and they both let me get to know them at my own speed. Now, I follow FM all over the house, and I run to the door when I hear her boyfriend arrive. Foster Mom says I would love a home with people who would be patient with a shy guy like me. I think she's right.
I’m a bit shy with new things, so I think I’ve written enough for now. I really like making new friends, so I’ll add to my blog again soon!

Philly (Philly Special): 5/20 - Greyt Face Masks
My foster dads thought I just was playing with all the bath mats but I see them wearing face masks and was trying to make one for myself. I’m a very responsible boy you see...I just couldn’t quite get it thrown around my head just right so I had to keep trying.
Kennedi (KS Kennedi): 5/20 - Loves Food!
Kennedi wants everyone to know that she loves bagels - either plain or toasted. She is a very food motivated girl!
Easi (Easi Juggerrout): 5/20 - I Like this Retirement Gig!
I someone would have told me three weeks ago that I'd be relaxing on this fluffy puff bed in the middle of the day, I wouldn't have believed it! But look... HERE I AM! FoMom giggled at me when my tongue was hanging out. I don't think she knows how to relax. There is a nice yard here to nap in too. I like when FoMom is out there doing work because I can help supervise.
I made sure FoMom got a good picture of me waiting so patiently in my crate for my meals. See... the other hound here isn't as mannerly as I am. I just lay here and my meals are delivered to me. What isn't greyt about that? RETIREMENT IS GREYT!
Ok... just one more picture to remind you just how handsome I am... I'll win you over with my big brown eyes!
That's all for now. I've got naps to take and toys to collect!

Philly (Philly Special): 5/19 - Grass Harps
Philly here! This weekend I learned the joys of laying in the grass. You should try it sometime like foster Dad and I. Dad said “Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.” I just like the way it feels.
Philly (Philly Special): 5/18 - Supervisory Powers
Philly here! I’ve been hearing my foster family talking about this activity called work. I know I’m retired but decided I could do something. So I quickly picked up the job of supervising foster dad's office work. My fuzzy rat is my minion and we squeak to let foster dad know when he needs to end his meetings.
Since I did so well supervising office work, I figured they’d really like me to supervise weekend chores too! Yesterday I kept foster dad on task planting the vegetable garden. But he just didn’t understand my expectation for a Milk Bone tree so we will keep working on his performance issues.
Lively (Mohican Lively): 5/17 - Supervising Lunch
Sometimes, the fur-kids have to supervise lunch prep on the off chance FoMa and FoDa drop something tasty.
Until next time!
