Joy (PBW Jump for Joy): 3/23 - A Great Weekend

I had great weekend! I practiced going up and down the stairs, played tug of war, and soaked up the sun ☀️. Can I have a great weekend at your house too?

Tamina (Superior Tamina): 3/23 - Nice to Meet You!

Tamina here! I recently started staying at my foster family's apartment in the big city, and I absolutely love it here. There are so many people out on the street to meet. Any one of them could be my new forever home! Sometimes they will stop to give me pets, and believe me: I am a huge fan of getting pets. Oh my goodness, just thinking about meeting people and getting pets is making my tail wag.

I've also been feeling very proud of working hard on my recovery after a broken leg. I've rested it a lot and worked on getting stronger, and I finally learned to go up the stairs gracefully and walk around the neighborhood without hopping!

Even though my foster family is generous with their love, I can't wait to show even more affection to my forever family. Hope to meet you soon!

xoxo Tamina xoxo

Grand (Centex Grand) 03/22 - Me and My Bestie

I am very fond of my tiger!  He’s my best buddy for nap time, which I need to get back to! -Grand

Nap (Atascocita Nap): 3/21 - I'm new here

Hey, y'all, I'm Nap, and I'm new here.  Everything is so different, but I'm learning that retirement is kind of cool. Breakfast is my favorite time of day, and I like to tell fo-mom how to do it just the way I like it. She says it's pretty cute.

I have a foster brother who's a greyhound and two HUGE and fluffy foster sisters. I love them all and really really want to play with them. My perfect forever home will have other doggies for me to play with and help me feel confident.

I also really like slumber balls. My foster mom has two of them, and Dare and I like to lay next to each other.

Well, that's all for now. I hope I find a nice home to call my own soon!

Grand (Centex Grand): 3/21- My Backyard!

I want to go outside again even though I just came in and I’ve already been out 200 times. #SorryNotSorry

Endo (Lee Endo): 3/19 - Greetings & Salutations

Hello World, my name is Endo!

I went for a nature walk with some new greyhound friends today.  They showed me this awesome bird: it had super long legs (like me) but, get this, it can fly!  Foster mom said that they were egrets.

I can’t wait to visit more parks with my new family & meet more wildlife.

Grand (Centex Grand): 3/18 - Hello

My name is Grand, which my foster mom thinks is most appropriate since I’m a grand boy - both in size and personality. I’m a gentle giant and such a sweet boy. I love being retired and am doing great adjusting to a new lifestyle. My big backyard is so much fun to explore, and I am also becoming quite fond of napping on comfy beds.

Joy (PBW Jump For Joy): 3/17 - Retirement

Nobody told me how hard retirement was going to be. 😂
It’s not easy napping all day! 💤

Joy (PBW Jump for Joy): 3/16 - Filled with Joy

Hello! My name is Joy.
I love playing with toys, eating treats, and hanging out with other dogs.
I can’t wait to find my forever family.
💕

Clay (L Clay): 3/11 - NOW what are you studying, Mom?!?

I’m studying the same thing I was before... The top of your head.

Well, finish up that book, so you can feed me!

Pepper (Barts Pepper): 3/11 - Lookout

Even though I am technically 'retired,' I have given myself the job of watchdog. It's not as easy as it sounds and involves me looking out the front door at things. The highlight of the day is when the mail arrives, and I get to wag my tail at the postman.

It's hard work though, and frequent naps in the sun are a must. Work-life balance is important!

Usually, I will get a bit too warm and need to relocate to the living room to cool down and do some stretches.

Then it's back to work...I mean naps and more sunshine. Followed by some more stretching and wiggling around on the floor.

My foster parents say I am a "funny little thing," which doesn't really make sense since I am always working so hard keeping watch. I am even letting my foster sister help out!

- Pepper

Pepper (Barts Pepper): 3/10 - Better Every Day

Hi, Pepper here! I thought you might like to know some stuff I am really good at: I love car rides, hanging out with my foster sister, who is a little Beagle, playing with toys, and going up and down stairs and across hardwood floors. Plus, I love going for walks in all kinds of weather- rain, snow or shine!

There are some things I am still working on, though, such as not being scared of busses, not sulking about the fact I am not allowed on the sofa, and not doing slightly weird things like standing in the bathtub to get attention.

My foster parents say that I am improving every day and can see I am trying hard. So long as my forever family is patient and confident with me, I will make the perfect addition to someone's home.

- Pepper

Dresser (Flashey Dresser): 3/10 - I Love to Chill !

How cute am I?

Pepper (Barts Pepper): 3/9 - Meet Pepper

Hi everyone, my name is Pepper, and I have been with my foster parents for about a month now. They say I am still a "spring chicken" because I am only about one and a half years old. I will be two in July!

I was unsure about retirement initially and was worried about most things, but now I am much more confident and love domestic life.

The things I love most are eating, going for walks, and getting to sleep on a dog bed in my foster parents' bedroom! Sometimes in the middle of the night, I'll wake up and give one of my foster parents a little 'boop' with my wet nose.

I am very sweet and affectionate, but I am told I can be a "little clingy" at times. I have no idea what that means, but I figure it must be great. I pretty much hear everything my foster parents say because I don't like to leave their side too often!

- Pepper

Everette (Finish Him): 3/9 - The Great Guard Dog

I’m guarding the main door.  I wasn’t sleeping; you were sleeping. Yes, I told you I’m guarding. It’s better done with just one eye open.

Sandy (Alto Sun Sand): 3/8 - Slumber Party

The adventures continue! Thankfully, it's starting to get warmer out. I think my face says it all - I am tired of ice!
But lying in the sun is nice, especially when I can both be in the sun AND have a snack...
I've been exploring every inch of FauxHome - you never know where treats might be hidden!
FoSis had a birthday, so we got special birthday treats and FoMo even had us do a little art project. I would never drop hints, but my birthday is coming up in July (the big 5!) and I love treats! FoMo even put our art up once it was dry.
I enjoy trips in the car! I like to look out the windows and take naps, and I am quick to jump in. FoMo insists on buckling me in for my safety, but I don't mind. I just can't wait to get to wherever we're going so that she can let me out and I can explore. Until then, I'll just be a quiet backseat driver!
After car naps, it is of course time for bed naps. I've also continued the hard work of supervising FoMo during the workday. It's a tough job, but somedoggy's got to do it! Sometimes I take a few of my favorite things with me, in case I need them mid-nap - a squeaky toy and a yak chew. Best to be prepared!

P.S. FoMo saw my last message. She says I can't just demand snuggles, that I shouldn't be rude. So with that in mind...send snuggles *please*!
