Mac’s Redmond: 10/2 - I'm New Here...

Hi Everyone! My name is Mac's Redmond, but you can call me Redmond, or Red.

I'm new here. I'm two years old and have just started this thing called "retirement". I have no idea what "retirement" is, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I think it might turn out to be a good thing. I'm told I have a lot to learn about retirement while I'm at my foster home so I can be ready for my forever family. I can already see there is a lot to learn. I've had so many new experiences in just the few days since I left the track in West Virginia. I don't even know where to start! Oh, I know, how about with my picture:

I don't know about this whole retirement thing...
It's a good thing I'm so handsome!

So on Saturday, I made my way from West Virginia with some other retired pups. We rode in a bus and then a van and made our way to Maryland where a bunch of nice folks treated us like royalty. We got some food, a nice warm bath with some great exfoliation, and a mani and pedi. They even had a paparazzo who took our pictures! I could have stayed in that place forever! But alas, I was told I had to get in yet another van to get to my foster home. It was a long ride, but I'm great in the car so it was no biggie.

Here I am in the car on the way to my foster home.
Apparently I'm a really good passenger.

The day after I arrived in my foster home, I got to meet my foster brother. He's six years old and has been retired for two years. I'm sure he knows exactly what I'm going to need to learn. I'll have to remember to keep a close eye on him so I can pick up some useful tips!

After our meeting we went for a nice walk together. I think I really like walks. There is so much to see, but more importantly, so much to smell! I even got some time to explore the backyard. I can't even begin to tell you about all the interesting smells back there!

Here I am meeting my foster brother for the first time.
I hope he'll help show me the ropes.

Here we are checking out the scents in the backyard...
There is some good smelling stuff right here.

All that exploring can really tire a pup out!
It's a good thing I found the least comfortable bed in the place.
Am I doing this bed thing right??

Anyway, it was really nice meeting you, but I should probably get going now. I have lots more to learn! Stay tuned for more of my adventures in retirement!
