Brownie: 2/10 - The Happiest Boy

Hi everyone! Brownie here.

I just wanted to let you know how much I'm really enjoying my retirement. Foster mom says I can relax just about anywhere and I'm so go with the flow, I'd fit in with just about any family...as long as you don't have any tiny critters that run from me. They get me so excited!

Currently, I'm still recovering from a broken back leg. My muscles are weak from being in a cast, so we've been leash walking a little more each day and I'm getting better and better. I have great leash manners, but I get so excited when I see new people and other dogs on the street. I want to say hi to everyone. My tail wags in circles to show you what a happy boy I am.

I've adjusted really well to life inside a home. I eat great, I sleep great and I love my little humans that help take care of me. I'm a confident guy, so not much phases me from their wild running and squealing, to them giving me loving pats and kisses. I enjoy it all.

Foster mom never had to do much instruction on going potty outside, I took to it naturally. My canine foster sister doesn't go in the house, so I don't either. Seems pretty straight forward.

Yesterday, foster mom took my foster sister to something called an obedience training class and I had to stay all by myself in the house. I didn't mind. It gave me time for a cozy nap with my blankets in my crate. I was calm and relaxed, and did my excited happy bark when they returned home. I enjoy my quiet time, but it's just the best when my foster family is here with me.

Well, I guess the bottom line is I'm about as chill and go with the flow as they come. I'm confident, affectionate and so well behaved. So, what do I need from you, forever family? I need someone to provide me a soft place to rest my head, some patience in helping me recover from the physical rigors of my racing career, and lots and lots of yummy treats. Did I mention, I love food?
Don't worry, I didn't steal the sausages...but boy did they smell good!

You know I'm relaxed and comfy when I roach!

I look forward to meeting you really soon!

Love,
Brownie
