Today marked a milestone for Tubby. He is really home body. That being said he gets so excited whenever any of the other dogs are leashed up to go for a walk. Many time we leash him up as well but he really doesn't like to go far from home and usually by the time we get about a hundred yards from the house he is ready and happy to turn around and go home. He does a little better with another dog walking but still he prefers a brief, very short walk and then turns around for home. Still we take him out several times a week, knowing it'll be a short walk and not expecting too much more from him. He gets so excited seeing the leash come out it's hard not to leave him behind, so we don't.
Today, we each took 2 dogs with us and Tubby (royal blue leash) did exceptionally well. He trotted along only baulking a couple of times but the other dogs trotted along and that kept him going. So big hurray for Tubby. He continues to surprise us with how much he is willing to give us his trust. We know he doesn't have a bunch of confidence outside so this was a big leap for him and we couldn't be prouder foster parents.
He is really ready for his forever home so if you think you have it in your heart to open up your house to this boy please don't hesitate to inquire about him. He's a happy boy inside the house and loves to play with toys and lounge. He will help you feel safe by letting you know whenever someone comes to the door. He is highly food motivated too. He's affectionate and mildly snuggly. He loves belly rubs and with give you nibbles when he's really happy. On top of all that goodness he is ooooooooober handsome!
