Sasha (Arroyo Sasha):2/9 - Loving the Retired Life!

Well hello there! Sasha here!

I've been retired almost a whole week, and I'm loving it! I have discovered belly rubs and they're the best thing ever! Ooooo, and ear rubs! I love love love to cuddle!

I'm learning to climb stairs and FoMa is teaching me to sit. She says i have the nicest manners, but I'm a lady so what did she expect?

Anyway, it's Ear Rub o'clock, so I'm off to snuggle!

Kisses,

Sasha

Atlas (CET Atlas): 2/9/22 - SO Excited to Meet You

HIIIIIII! My name is Atlas and I CANNOT wait to meet you!

I'm so happy to be here in Maryland with all my new friends, my tail will not stop wagging! I'm staying with foster mom in Baltimore city and there are so many people to meet!! I love it so much!!

I also have a new foster sister who looks kind of like me, but then there's this other foster 'brother' of mine...he is small and fluffy and goes "meow" and sometimes "hiss" which I think is scary...but on the bright side, we have similar markings so maybe we're brothers after all! I keep my distance from him.

My favorite thing about my foster house is the BEDS. They are so fluffy and comfy. I'm learning really quickly how to get comfortable:

Foster mom is also really proud of my first 'bed fail':

My head just wouldn't fit on there! It was still comfy. So comfy in fact that I sleep all the way through the night without a peep!

I can't wait to snuggle with YOU! -Atlas 🗺

Gym (Iwannaquitthegym) 2/9/22

Who's out there looking for a traffic stopping good looking dog?   Well, that's what you'd have in Gym. Today while out on a walk a car actually stopped in the middle of the road and the passenger had to get out to admire Gym.  He took it all in just like it happens all the time and he leaned into her so he could get the best hugs and petting.

Once home, he had to take a nap because all that attention can be exhausting!

Gym is a beautiful big boy looking for his forever home.  He is currently in foster care learning all the ropes of retirement.  He is still trying to perfect his dog bed skills.  Gym has a fracture repair but he is completely healed and gets around like any other dog.  He LOVES going for a walk and taking in all the sights and sounds.  He does his business outside and is even learning to go to the back door as his signal that he has to potty.  He could use a few pounds but we are working on having him gain some weight slowly, which is the most healthy way.

Look at his stunning face and beautiful brown eyes.  He is a super model of the greyhound world.

Dozer loving retirement!!-2/9/2022

Hi! I’m DOZER! Come along with me in all my new adventures while I learn about retirement!!

My Foster Family is always saying what a good boy I am!! Oh and of course how handsome I am!!
This is me “Roo’ing”. My Foster mom caught the picture but she needs to video it next time so you can hear my beautiful Roo’ing!!
This IS the life!!! Soft dog pillows, a fireplace and endless supply of dog toys!! Retirement is AWESOME!!

That’s all for now!
Come back soon for more of ME!!
Love, Dozer

Finley (Im a Savage) 2/8/22 A New Way of Life!

Hi!  Im Finley and Im not ferocious at all!!!

I am not sure if you have heard of this retirement thing but it is wicked awesome!!!  There are cushy beds!  Some kids do something called bed fails, but I got it right the very first time!

My foster sisters are greyt!  Today three of us went for a walk together and they showed me all the places to find "pee mail" to sniff!  Im the cute one in pink!

While reading pee mail is ok, I mostly like to walk along with my human and see what I can see!  Look, I just spotted a burro at the farm!

When we got home, I discovered a toy box, with toys inside!!!! You can stick your head right into it and find whatever you want!  But squeaky toys are the best things ever!!!  I had to dig pretty deep to find the squeaky balls!!!  Then I made them squeak and squeak and....

Life here is pretty busy! I have already learned how to do the stairs (up AND down), how to go in and out the doggie door to take care of essential business, and that all you have to do is walk up to a human to get plenty of head scritches, hugs and kisses.  I will keep you posted on what this new way of life is all about.  But for now.....its nappy time!

Artie (RT Rtwodogto) 2/7/22 - Learning the ropes

Hi I'm Artie,
I'm a pretty big boy (87 pounds) and I'm learning about being retired from racing and being in a house.  I am getting used to my foster brother and sister by sniffing them and saying hello.  They are being pretty patient with me.

I'm learning what stairs are and how to navigate them.  It's a little tricky for me but I'm getting better every day.  What I really love is getting scratches and rubs!
I think I will like this new life ❤
